Resident Suicide on Seventh Street

On early Thursday morning, March 23, 2006, Matthew Edward Lambert, 29, was found dead in his home in the 1200 block of E. Seventh Street in Sweeny.

Lambert was found hanging by a rope from the ceiling in the garage. Police and EMS were summoned to the scene.  Lambert was transported to the Sweeny Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:14 a.m.

An investigation into Lambert's death revealed Lambert had been troubled by recent problems and had made several statements regarding his impending suicide.  Lambert was scheduled to be in a Fort Bend County Court later that day.
