Traffic Accident Statistics
A study of traffic accident reports filed by the Sweeny Police Department
is conducted each year. The results these study's assist police
managers in identifying patterns of collisions throughout the city. The results have
been prepared for dissemination on this Web page through graphs and charts
below.A total of 285 reportable traffic accidents occurred in the City of
Sweeny between 2000 and 2005. Reportable traffic accident means a
collision involving a motor vehicle which results in damage of more than
$1,000 or which results in injury or death.
NOTE: The words "most dangerous"
refer to the number of traffic accidents at a particular location,
and is not based on injuries or fatalities. No pattern of injury
accidents has been documented since 2000.
